Care & Maintenance

  • The pen nib is made of highly delicate glass. Please handle with care and avoid tapping or striking the nib against the glass ink bottle or the wooden pen rest.
  • Do not apply heavy pressure when writing. Let the pen glide smoothly across the paper using its own weight. Excessive pressure may chip or break the glass nib.
  • Rinse the glass nib with water (or lukewarm water) and gently wipe off the moisture with a tissue or soft cloth immediately after use. Allowing ink to dry and harden will make it difficult to clean.
  • The body is crafted from natural Japanese wild cherry blossom wood (Sakura). To prevent warping, cracking, or mold, do not submerge the entire wooden body in water or leave it wet for an extended period.
  • To prevent accidental breakage from impacts, always store and transport the pen in its dedicated case. Keep away from direct sunlight, high temperature, high humidity, and out of reach of small children.

The Cherry Blossom Wood Glass Pen brings together the warmth of natural wood and the delicate beauty of handcrafted glass.

Its barrel is made from natural cherry wood from Mount Yoshino in Nara, Japan. The wood comes from cherry trees that were felled during Typhoon Jebi in 2018, allowing a piece of these historic trees to be given a new life. Warm and natural in the hand, the barrel becomes increasingly comfortable and familiar with use, developing a character of its own over time.

The transparent glass nib is individually handcrafted by glass artist Yoshitaka Tajima of Studio Kasho in Fukui, Japan. Its carefully shaped surface holds ink smoothly, creating a fluid, effortless writing experience that makes every stroke a pleasure.

A matching cherry wood pen rest is included, giving you a beautiful place to set the pen between uses. Presented in a refined leather-style gift box, it makes a thoughtful choice for both everyday writing and special occasions.
