Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. Please avoid chemicals, polishes, moisture, or direct sunlight. Over time, the surface may naturally change in appearance—this aging process is part of the orin’s charm and character.

Finish: Oboro Silver (Kōsai treatment × Palladium plating)
After receiving Takaoka’s traditional kōsai surface treatment, the bowl is plated with palladium, a rare metal more precious than gold. This process provides excellent resistance to wear and corrosion while protecting the surface from aging. The result is a refined gray-silver tone, softer than a mirror finish, resembling the muted glow of moonlight behind mist—naturally blending into any modern interior.
