Designer
Born in 1930 in Nagano, Japan, Tadahiro Baba graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and later founded his own design studio. Working mainly with iron, copper alloys, titanium, and stainless steel, Baba creates objects and monuments that combine traditional metalcraft with refined modern form, and has served as president of the Japan Craft Design Association while contributing to the revitalization of regional crafts, including Nambu ironware in Morioka.
