Transparent glass is paired with precious brass, while the tip of the paddle-shaped striker is crafted from mizume-zakura (Japanese cherry birch). These three distinct materials blend together with natural harmony, resulting in a design that sits beautifully and gently within everyday life.
The glass portion is created using a technique known as molded glass, a process sustained today by only a small number of highly skilled artisans in Japan. Their expertise gives the piece both clarity and quiet depth.
When struck, Paddle releases a slightly higher tone that glides smoothly through the air. Even when the striker is returned to rest upon the glass, the resonance continues, lingering with grace.
