One Cloth, So Many Ways to Use It
Wipe, wrap, strain, or wear. This versatile organic cotton cloth brings comfort and practicality to everyday life. Made from two layers of traditional Japanese kaya fabric, its airy weave absorbs water beautifully and dries quickly, even when hung indoors.
Generously sized at 23 inches square, it's perfect for drying dishes, wrapping a bento lunch or fresh produce, straining broth, or even wearing as a bandana. Carefully sewn edges help prevent fraying, while the cotton grows softer and more comfortable with every wash.
Kaya fabric has been woven in Nara, Japan, for generations, originally for traditional mosquito nets. BAN INOUE brings this traditional textile into modern everyday life, preserving its practical qualities while celebrating the natural beauty of undyed organic cotton.
Natural White: A gentle, creamy shade that comes directly from the organic cotton itself, without any added dyes.
Brown Cotton: A warm, earthy shade that highlights the natural color and character of brown cotton grown on designated farms in the United States, without any added dyes.
Please Note:Small black or brown specks may be visible in the fabric. These are natural fragments of the cotton plant, characteristic of organic cotton that has not undergone bleaching or other chemical treatments. They are not mold or foreign contaminants, but a natural feature of the material.
