Care & Maintenance

A quiet object shaped by light and shadow.

Part incense holder, part storage box, this cast iron incense box is designed to bring a sense of stillness and intention to everyday spaces. Lift the lid, select a stick of incense, and let the moment unfold slowly.

Crafted in Yamagata, Japan, the box combines traditional cast iron craftsmanship with a distinctly architectural form. The lid is inspired by the delicate facets of Kiriko cut glass, where sharp geometric cuts catch and reflect light with subtle precision. That refined pattern is paired with the softly textured surface created through traditional sand casting, balancing crisp lines with organic depth.

Designed with both beauty and function in mind, the angled incense holder allows ash to fall neatly into the box below, helping preserve the calmness of the surrounding space. When not in use, the lid returns the object to a clean, minimal silhouette — an understated presence that continues to shape the room even in silence.
